Question: I have heard that Muslim men are allowed to marry people of the book; so does that mean we can marry christian and jew? What is the teachings about this? Answer: For a Muslim to man to marry a christian or jewess is permissible with conditions:- a) They must believe in their religion b) They must not be unchaste women c) They must not be murtads - who left Islam & then chose christianity etc. d) It is undesirable & sinful to marry them as they will influence the children towards their religion. |
