Question: I would like to know if the prayers are accepted if one puts on nail polish on the nails? Answer: The use of nail polish and nail enamels are not allowed, as water does not penetrate through to the finger and toe nails when making whudhu.Then the whudhu is not valid,as both these have to be wet for the whudhu to be valid, And if the whudhu is not valid then the salaah(prayers) is not valid. T o wear nailpolish is an unislamic practise and should be avoided at all times, Nabi salalahu alsiyhe wasalam has said '' whoever imitates a people is from them '' abu dawood. Use henna on the nails to color and beautify them,or buff your nails. |
