SHOW ME RESPECT
The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) told a son not to:

• Walk in front of his father

• Sit down before his father sits

• Call his father by his name

• Talk to his father impolitely.

OBEY ME
The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said:
Whoever looks at his father angrily, he is being disobedient.

PIOUS WIFE
The Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said: "The whole world is an object of use and benefit, and the best means of benefit is a pious woman."

MARRIAGE A FORT
The Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam addressed Ukaaf radhiallahu anhu and said: "O Ukaaf! Marry or else you will be at a loss." As a result of Ukaaf radhiallahu anhu initially not marrying, the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam termed him "The brother of the Devil."

DESTITUTE
The Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam termed a man who has no wife a destitute, even though he might have a lot of money. He likewise termed an unmarried woman.

WOMEN’S RIGHTS
O People, it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women but they also have rights over you.

TRUST FROM ALLAH TA’ALA
Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under Allah's trust and with His permission. If they abide by your right, then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness.

PARTNERS & HELPERS
Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers.

The Qur’aan teaches parents how to address their children. Prophets Ebrahim, Ya’qub and Nooh (alaihimus salaam) are recorded speaking to their children on different occasions. The term of address they use, as does Luqmaan (alaihis salaam) is Ya Bunayya which translates as O my Beloved Son.

Problem: One of the causes of depression is family problems.

These include marital problems, parent-child relationships and lack of affection and acceptance within the family. When marriage is not working, it produces stress which can lead to depression and substance abuse. Depression of one spouse usually affects the other. Even if the depressed spouse recovers, he/she is likely to relapse due to an unsatisfying marriage. Marital discord often leads to depression and vice-versa. It may also lead to verbal, physical and emotional abuse.

I am an American woman who was born in the midst of Americas Heartland. I grew up, just like any other girl, being fixated with the glamour of life in the big city. Eventually, I moved to Florida and on to South Beach of Miami, a hotspot for those seeking the glamorous life. Naturally, I did what most average Western girls do. I focused on my appearance and appeal, basing my self-worth on how much attention I got from others. I worked out religiously and became a personal trainer, acquired an upscale waterfront residence, became a regular exhibiting beach-goer and was able to attain a living-in-style kind of life.

“…The Prophet (pbuh) was the most generous person in giving away what he owned, and he would never look at something as being either too big or too insignificant to give up for the sake of Allah.

Nobody would ask him for anything except that he gave it to them, regardless of how big or small it was. He gave things away in a way that made it seem that he never feared poverty, and generosity and charity were the most beloved things to him. His happiness and joy in giving something away was more than that felt by those who would accept his gifts. He was the most generous person, and his generosity was like the blowing wind.
